Updates:
- A check in the amount of $15,000 has been sent out to the family for their immediate use. This is the amount raised through PayPal, in addition to a donation made by a charity in the US, Sterling Charitable Gift Fund Trust.
- The city of Ottawa have put the family in a new home, and they have everything in their home that they need through donations from the Ottawa community.
- Since sending the $15,000, nearly $5,000 more has been raised through PayPal.
- Donations are expected to come in through the next few days, after which the Pay Pal account will be closed and all donations will be sent to the family.
